WASHINGTON (JCHAYWARD.COM) — Gannett, USA Weekend,WUSA-TV and Volunteer Fairfax joined forces recently for a community volunteer project where employees volunteered their time to build a musical playground at Annandale Christian Community For Action Development Center.
JC Hayward joined the Gannett crew sans her high heels to paint the playground, trim shrubs and bushes, and install the equipment.
The Center provides affordable, high-quality early education and developmentally appropriate care for children ages 3 months to 5 years in a safe, healthy and diverse environment.
Gannett CEO, Gracia Martore, Gannett broadcasting division President , Dave Lougee, and WUSA-TV President & CEO, Mark Burdett attended this fun-filled event to benefit families enrolled in the center who are living at poverty level in the community making an average household income of $24,000.
