The Boulevard At The Capital Centre Hosts Tree Lighting Ceremony & Coat Drive

WASHINGTON (JCHAYWARD.COM) –Next week is Thanksgiving, which means Christmas is just 42 days away.

To ring in this holiday season, The Boulevard at the Capital Centre will hold its annual celebration on Saturday, Nov.

17th with an illuminated Christmas Tree, dazzling fireworks, strolling holiday characters and more!

Located at 880 G Shoppers Way in Largo, Md., Santa will arrive in a horse-drawn carriage to greet shoppers of all ages and serve as grand master of the tree lighting ceremony.

The BLVD will also host the annual WPGC 95.5 Coat Drive from 10 am to 6 pm. WPGC radio personalities will broadcast live from the shopping center near Restaurant Row and collect coats to assist area residents in need.

“As part of our ongoing community outreach efforts, we are excited to  host the annual coat drive,” said Kenneth Baker, general manager for The BLVD. “Last year, the initiative held at The BLVD was highly successful and collected thousands of coats for members of the community in need.”
