Have Your Pet’s Photo Taken With Santa Claus For Charity!

WASHINGTON (JCHAYWARD.COM) — Start celebrating the holiday season at the Washington Animal Rescue League’s Winter Holidays Open House on Sunday, December 2.

Located at 71 Oglethorpe Street, NW, stop by the Washington Animal Rescue League between noon and 3 p.m., and join in the festivities, including live holiday music, and pet photos with Santa Claus.

“This is a wonderful holiday event for the entire family, including the furry, four-legged ones!” said Washington Animal Rescue League CEO Bob Ramin. “There is truly something for everyone at this event, from photos with your pet and Old St. Nick himself, to opportunities to give back to our food bank and humane education programs.”

For a $20 donation to the Animal Rescue League, you will receive one 4”x6” photo and an electronic file of your pet with your children, and Santa. Additional photos cost $5 each.

Looking for a pet to complete your family? The shelter residents will be waiting to meet and greet you, and hopefully find their way into your hearts and homes this holiday.

The Washington Animal Rescue League asks that you bring a donation of unopened pet food to put under the tree for the League’s Rescuers Food Bank, which assists low-income pet guardians. Unused pet toys or equipment (leashes, carriers, beds, etc.) are welcome, too. For more information, click here.
