WASHINGTON (JCHAYWARD.COM) — The Powerball jackpot for Wednesday’s drawing has grown to an estimated $425 million, which is the largest in Powerball history.
Virginia Lottery officials say that a Culpeper woman won $1 million after hearing news that a ticket in her state had won in the Saturday drawing. She had the computer pick her numbers, and matched the first five numbers.
According to Lottery officials, if your ticket matches all six numbers in Wednesday’s drawing, the winner will have a choice to either take the full jackpot in 30 annual payments or choose a one-time cash option of approximately $278.3 million before taxes.
