Youtube has changed how we measure popularity, and now has made reflection of the past year easy with a recently released list of the Top Trending Videos of 2012.

Youtube trends manager, Kevin Allocca, made the list of the Top Trending Videos of 2012, which had a huge impact on the world. Allocca compiled this list by amount of views, shares, searches, parodies, remixes and responses to said videos.

1. PSY- Gangnam Style: This record-breaking music video from Korean Rapper Psy is expected to hit a billion views by the end of 2012.

3.KONY 2012: In one day, over 30 million people watched the 30-minute video that went viral about Joseph Kony, the leader of Uganda’s Lord’s Resistance Army.
